How has the state of our Islam become today

Introduction

Today in 2026, it is quite important if we reflect upon this:

What isstate of our Islam become today? What lessons does it teach us? What rules and limitations does it set for living a good and peaceful life? Do we truly possess all of that within us? Are we actually following those principles today? Do we truly have spiritual peace? Is what Islam has defined as Halal and Haram, and where it mentions divine reward and punishment, really in our lifestyle?

According to Quran

“Indeed, the only religion acceptable to Allah is Islam…”

“And whoever desires a religion other than Islam, It will never be accepted from him. And in the Hereafter, he will be among the losers.”

Islam in our daily life

Today our daily life is as fast as a speeding car. To sell ourselves to this world, we lie fearlessly, thinking we will deal with the consequences when caught. We indulge in show-off just to impress people: expensive clothes. Shoes, elite schools for study, costly universities to get the best degrees, stylish manners, exposing other’s faults. Laughing at people, and speaking arrogantly. There is so much more that does’t even need to written; you can already imagine what our practice of Islam has become today.

The reality, which we forget

Human Nature Hold Fear

We refuse to realize that all of this is temporary and will end one day. Instead, we ruin our mental and spiritual peace, dying a silent death inside. All these activities take us so far from our real religion or our pure souls.

Meanwhile , Allah says in the Quran

“Inform My servants that I am indeed the forgiving, the Merciful, and that my punishment is indeed the most painful punishment.”

Today our youth is the biggest victim

Today’s youth has drifted far from Islam. As they navigate the modern world daily, they strive to prove themselves superior in every aspect. Young men and women today are highly modernized. Honestly, I see little difference between those who wear a hijab and those who do not: because true modesty must reflect from one’s eyes and heart. Being in a non-mahram environment or near a non-mahram person is not inherently wrong, but lacking modesty certainly is. Modesty should act as a shield so that what the eyes sees does not draw the heart toward the haram.

Furthermore, today’s youth publically broadcast every joy and sorrow, and readily highlight others mistake. Men. Too have forgotten that just Islam has set boundaries for women, it has established equal limits for them as well. The order of Gaze control and intent was revealed on men before women.

Quran said:

“Tell the believing men and women lower their Gaze and guard their private parts”

According to Islam

Islam has blessed us with a deeply peaceful life. If we embrace even a small part of it, simply choosing to give up just one bad habit would be enough to bring about change. Lying. Ostentation, walking with arrogance, exposing other’s secrets. Mocking people, taunting, swearing false oaths. In addition, placing expectations on anyone other than Allah: all of these are wrong. The youth play a vital role in the progress of an Islamic nation and hold immense value for their parents, as righteous and dutiful children’s are source of forgiveness and mercy for their parents in the Hereafter.

“Everything is bound to perish except the Entity of Allah”

Therefore, starting today, give yourself time and reflect upon how much Islam is truly within you and what extent you can practice it, because:

“There is no compulsion in Islam”

“O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims.”
